Designing a digital menu that sells: photos, descriptions and order
The customer decides in seconds. A good digital menu shows the right item with the right photo and description in an eye-catching place.
Six design rules
Apply them to your menu:
- Real, clear photos with good light and a consistent angle, not images taken from the internet.
- A one-line description: the main ingredients and what makes the dish special.
- A few clear sections in a logical order (starters, mains, desserts, drinks).
- Feature your highest-margin items at the top of a section or with a larger photo.
- Make add-ons and options (size, no onions) clear and easy to pick.
- Pause a sold-out item at once so the customer does not order it only for it to be cancelled.
In RAWA
RAWA's digital menu updates as soon as you edit photos, prices and items, with a link and QR code in your restaurant's name, and its orders arrive in the Menu tab at the cashier. What you edit in your main menu is reflected in it.

Do I need a professional photographer?
Not necessarily; daylight, a modern phone and a consistent angle are enough to start.
How long should a description be?
One short line is enough.
Does the menu update instantly?
Yes, your edits show immediately.
How do I pause a sold-out item?
From editing the item in the system, so it stops appearing in the menu.
