Payment methods in a restaurant: cash, card, CliQ and wallets — and how to record and reconcile them
A customer pays half the bill in cash and half by card, another by instant transfer. If each method is not recorded under its own name your till and your bank will not reconcile. The rule: record every payment by its true method.
Four recording rules
Apply them daily:
- Define the payment methods you accept in the system (cash, card, CliQ instant transfer, wallet...) and choose each sale's method.
- Allow split payment across more than one method for a single bill.
- Reconcile at day end: actual cash with cash sales, and card and transfer amounts with the bank or payment-provider statement.
- Investigate any difference the same day, not at month-end.
In RAWA
RAWA lets you define payment methods and pick one on each sale, supports split payment, and tracks payments by method in the end-of-shift report so you can reconcile your till. We mention CliQ as a payment method common in Jordan that you record like any other, without claiming a direct automatic integration with it.

Yes, split payment is supported.
Does RAWA connect to CliQ automatically?
We do not advertise a direct automatic integration; you record it as a payment method.

By comparing the card total in the shift report with the bank or payment-provider statement.
Why does the till differ from the system?
Usually a payment recorded under the wrong method or an unrecorded refund.
